EC3 Blue 2024-2025
Welcome to Addlestone Hebrew Academy, we are so excited to share a wonderful school year with you.
Your child’s projected academic plan is to join the EC3 classroom. However, should your child not be FULLY potty trained by the first day of school, we have reserved a spot for your child to remain in the EC2 Blue classroom to work on his/her potty training skills until they are having limited to no accidents and sleeping without a pull-up. In order to adhere to the regulations set forth by the Department of Social Services, EC3 students must be able to use the potty independently.
Your child’s teachers are Miss Victoria and Miss Mary. This year promises to be filled with joy, creativity, and discovery. Your child will engage in a variety of child-led enriching activities, including art, music, Judaics, themed performances, and more.
We look forward to a year of learning and growth together! Please carefully review and complete each of the sections below no later than August 1, 2024. We can’t wait to see you on August 18 at 12 PM for our campus dedication followed by the Back to School Bash.

In order to help make your child’s transition into Addlestone a success, you are invited to meet with your child’s teachers for our Back to School In-Take conferences. This is an opportunity for you and your child to visit their classroom and meet their teachers. The conference will include an open discussion about your child’s strengths, needs, behaviors and learning styles, as well as an opportunity to provide any pertinent information that you believe will help your child to be successful this year.
As a partner in your child’s academic success, we look forward to this opportunity to work together to provide the best individualized nourishment for your child’s education.
Back to School In-Take conferences sign ups are open now through August 5th.
EC3 Blue Parents, please register for Parent-Teacher conferences here.
Mrs. Victoria Wertz
EC3 Blue Lead Teacher
Hi, my name is Victoria Wertz. It has been an honor to work at Addlestone as a classroom teacher during the school year and at Camp Shalom 2023. My background is in psychology and social work. I really enjoy working with children, engaging in art and participating in small group experiences.
My husband and I have a two and a half year old little boy who loves Addlestone as much as I do! Being outdoors, cooking, spending time with family and friends and gardening are some of my favorite things. I also love animals and enjoy having three dogs.
I am so very excited for this school year and to meet all of the new students!
Ms. Mary McNeil
EC3 Blue Assistant Teacher
Hi, my name is Mary! I am thrilled to join Addlestone for both the summer and the coming school year ahead. I have been working in childcare for 20 years. I have experience working in all classrooms and with a variety of ages. I have also worked as an administrator in the Early Childhood, but look forward to being in the classroom again.
My goal is to be a great asset to any classroom I am placed in, as well as love your babies through play and learning. My favorite motto is “Team Work Makes The Dream Work!”
Hi my name is Gerti, and I have been the Early Childhood Judaics teacher at Addlestone for over 5 years. I have been so fortunate to share some of my time here at AHA with my two daughters. I am passionate about working with children to gain perspective on the world and its wonders. I’m excited to work with the EC staff to bring Judaic Studies, Hebrew language, and Jewish values into your child’s classroom every day. We’ll learn Jewish traditions, holidays, daily prayers, blessings, conversational Hebrew, and more through songs, games, and storytelling. Every Friday, we’ll celebrate Kabbalat Shabbat (Welcoming the Sabbath) together. Plus, each semester, you’ll be invited to a creative showcase of your children’s Jewish education. I look forward to a great year ahead!
Prior to the first day of school, you may want to try some of the following to help ease the transition for both you and your child:
- Begin an early bedtime routine (roughly 7:00-7:30 pm)
- Plan some opportunities to be away from home and consider playdates to leave your child with family members or friends.
- Consider finding a goodbye routine for you and your child to participate in during carpool drop off (hugs, chants, high fives, etc.)
Please bring these items to school during your scheduled Parent Intake Conference Day in August and monitor your email for an invitation to schedule your conference. Having these items taken care of before the FIRST DAY of school (August 19) will allow you to focus on your child’s transition into the classroom!

Our program provides a balance of study time and free time every day to give children the security of a structured environment while still allowing them time to relax and unwind after school. We include time for homework every afternoon and have staff available to assist with assignments if necessary.
The Lion’s Den program also offers after-school enrichment programs. Any student enrolled at Addlestone is able to participate in enrichment classes. Students who are enrolled in Lion’s Den after-school care receive a discount on enrichment classes.
