2025-2026 Tuition Assistance Information
Addlestone Hebrew Academy is the only school in the Lowcountry that offers a warm, nurturing learning community that instills Jewish values, a love of Eretz Israel, while also maintaining high academic standards. We applaud your decision to entrust your children to our care. We are committed to ensuring that no Jewish children miss out on our exceptional lower and middle school programs due to financial constraints.
Please review the important information below and note that your application for tuition assistance is due no later than April 1, 2025.
In order to adequately determine your tuition assistance, we will need the most up to date financial information that you can provide. This includes your 2023 Federal Income Tax Return, your 2024 Federal Tax Return, if available, your 2024 W-2’s, Form 1099’s, as well as all current business returns. We understand that not all returns will be available by our April 1st deadline, however, we respectfully request as much current information that you can provide.
Should you have any questions regarding your application or the process, know that there are multiple avenues to obtain assistance.
FACTS has an explanatory video, and you may reach out to them with your questions. You may also email Jessica Bennett at [email protected]. Additionally, you may email your questions to [email protected].
To respect the privacy of each family and to foster a positive school community environment, we ask that you do not share your financial aid decision with others, and that you respect the privacy of other families who choose not to share their financial aid outcomes with you.
Finally, we ask that once you receive your award decision, you are diligent in paying your financial contribution in a timely manner. We commit to holding your financial information in the strictest of confidence.
We recognize that many of our students live in blended families or families with a single custodial parent. The Tuition Assistance Committee requires that both of the student’s parents/guardians must apply for tuition assistance regardless of the legal or personal relationship between them. If the birth parent does not contribute to the support of the student, you must explain why. If the custodial parent has remarried, the resources of the step-parent/guardian will also be considered.
The Tuition Assistance Committee strives to be fair and equitable to all families who need assistance.
In the situation where a parent or guardian chooses not to work, the Committee may impute a minimum income for that non-working parent or guardian. Certainly, this does not require a parent or guardian to work. Should there be a situation where the parent or guardian cannot work due to a disability, a hardship, or because of the need to care for a family member, the imputation of income will not occur.
Your application for tuition assistance is due by April 1, 2025.
You will be notified of your grant by May 1, 2025.
You may appeal the decision of the Committee by May 15, 2025.
You will be notified of the result of your appeal by May 30, 2025.
We appreciate your transparency as we evaluate all aspects of each family’s financial circumstances to ensure a fair allocation of resources. Should you need assistance, we are happy to help.
Should you have any questions or need additional assistance, you may contact either Jessica Bennett at [email protected] or [email protected].
Shalom,
The Tuition Assistance Committee
