Wednesday, May 1st will be proclaimed Joe Engel Day in Columbia, SC. Mr. Engel, one of Charleston’s beloved Holocaust survivors, has spent hi life raising awareness about the Holocaust and educating the next generation of Jewish Charleston about his experience. 5th through 7th grade students will travel to Columbia to witness the proclamation and be a part of this historic day.
