Kindergarten–Grade 8

Tuition &
Affordability

A Jewish day school education is a meaningful investment in your child’s future. We want families to understand the resources and opportunities that may help make Addlestone possible. Tuition assistance is available for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

A Place to Begin

Every family’s path is different.

Published tuition is important, but it does not tell the whole story. Addlestone families may be able to combine school-based tuition assistance, South Carolina education resources, family discounts, and flexible payment options.

You do not need to understand every program before reaching out. We are happy to help you identify the questions to ask and the next step that may be right for your family.

Your Options

Ways families may make Addlestone more affordable.

Each resource has its own process. We can help you understand which ones may be relevant to your family.

01 · School-Based Support

Addlestone Tuition Assistance

Need-based tuition assistance is available for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Families apply confidentially through FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, and Addlestone’s Tuition Assistance Committee considers demonstrated need and available funds when determining awards.

Addlestone receives annual support from the Charleston Jewish Federation to help sustain tuition-assistance funding.

Each enrolled student is expected to contribute at least 10% of tuition.

02 · State Resource

South Carolina ESTF

Addlestone is an approved provider in South Carolina’s Education Scholarship Trust Fund program. ESTF may help eligible South Carolina families use state-administered education funds toward approved K–12 educational expenses, including tuition at participating independent schools.

Eligibility, scholarship amounts, and application windows are set by the State of South Carolina and may change each year.

03 · Beginning in 2027

A New Federal Scholarship Opportunity

A new federal scholarship program may create another way to support K–12 educational access through qualified Scholarship Granting Organizations.

Addlestone is working with the Charleston Jewish Federation as this opportunity develops. Program rules, family application procedures, and scholarship availability are still being finalized.

We will share confirmed information with families as it becomes available.

Family Discounts

Recognizing the commitments families make.

Sibling Discount

Families with more than one child enrolled at Addlestone receive a 10% tuition discount for each additional child in kindergarten through eighth grade. The student in the highest grade is charged full tuition.

Distance Discount

The Charleston Jewish community has grown more geographically spread out over the years, and Addlestone recognizes the added commitment some families make to join our school community.

  • 2% tuition discount for families living 5–15 miles from campus
  • 4% tuition discount for families living more than 15 miles from campus

Payment Options

Plan B

Two Payments

Applicable fees and 60% of annual tuition are due by May 1. The remaining 40% is due by October 1.

FACTS charges a $55 fee for Plan C. Credit-card payments for tuition-related charges include a 2.75% processing fee. Questions about payment plans or schedules? accounting@addlestone.org
