Leadership Transition and Addlestone’s Path Forward
The Board shares news of Rabbi Perton’s resignation, reaffirms its confidence in Addlestone’s future, and outlines steps already underway to strengthen the school, including expanded board engagement, operational leadership, and the Head of School search.

Addlestone Transition Committee Leadership
Former Board Chair Marcie Rosenberg has agreed to serve as Chair of the Addlestone Transition Committee. The update also shares the school’s continued focus on stability, continuity, and a successful start to the 2026–2027 school year.

Strategic Planning and School Sustainability
The Board of Trustees has selected Barry Kislowicz Consulting to lead a comprehensive strategic planning process focused on Addlestone’s long-term financial sustainability, academic strength, enrollment, staffing, and community engagement.

A Strong Start to the School Year
This week’s update looks ahead to the new school year, including the introduction of blended first and second grade and sixth and seventh grade classes. It also shares the next steps in Addlestone’s strategic growth work and two encouraging milestones: eligible families who completed the FACTS process on time had their demonstrated financial need met, and the early childhood education program is fully enrolled with a waitlist.

Celebrating 70 Years Forward
As Addlestone prepares to open its doors for a new school year, the community is also beginning a yearlong celebration of the school’s 70th anniversary. This update looks back on the values, achievements, and people who have shaped Addlestone while setting the tone for the years ahead.
Throughout the anniversary year, students, families, alumni, faculty, staff, donors, and friends will be invited to celebrate through special events, shared memories, and opportunities to honor Addlestone’s past and future.

Head of School Search Moves Forward
The Board has begun forming the committee that will lead the search for Addlestone’s next Head of School, with the formal search expected to begin in October. Rebecca Engel, an Addlestone alumna, current parent, and community leader, will chair the committee.
The update also explains how the Head of School search will connect with the school’s Strategic Sustainability Project so that Addlestone’s long-term priorities help guide the selection of its next leader.

Interim Academic Leadership Structure
The Board of Trustees shares an update on Addlestone’s interim academic leadership team, including the administrators overseeing each school division and Marcie Rosenberg’s role as liaison between the administrative team and the Board. The update also confirms that the communication process outlined in the Parent Handbook remains unchanged.

Strategic Planning Stakeholder Surveys
The first round of strategic planning surveys will be sent to current parents, voting Board members, faculty, and staff on Monday. The surveys will gather feedback about the community’s needs, priorities, and hopes for Addlestone’s future. Responses will help identify topics for broader community focus groups later in the process.
